Rev. Walter Mather Ward d1855 interred at Hartington, he left monies in his will to his servant Hannah Oakden for life, & also to purchase a communion plate. WW1 roll of honour - W. Gilman d1917, W. Shipley d1917, S. Gilman d1918, T. Baker d1918, L. Gilman d1918, J. Salt d1918. Caroline Josephine Adams in gratitude for renovating the church 1928 at cost of £150.

CURIO. A display of historical graffitti covering a period 1781-1913 on lead panels found on the tower roof during reconstruction in 2002/03. 219 historical 'lovers and plumbers marks' - some were foot prints or outlines and a devish figure - were found. The survey was undertaken by Robert Sheppard of the Trent and Peak Archeological Unit, Nottingham University.
