The wood carving of the letters IHS from a confessional door from St Martin’s Cathedral, Ypres, it is in memory of the Canadians who fought for the Empire in WW1. Pte. Newton F.S. Oldest memorial is a square stool-like tomb by footpath with the inscription - ‘1659. DONOR REEVE’S. TO MB.’ S of the church - John Goldshraw received a mortal wound Feb. 26 1840 died the next day, aged 25. Art Nouveau cross containing ball with beautifully carved head and trees in relief - Rev. Henry Edward Beech d1906 & wife Elizabeth Mary d1935 who had the memorial erected. John Lomax’s headstone has the inscription ‘His widow after paying his just debts, To his lamented name this stone erects’ (VB p176).

Charles Beard of Burton-on-Trent bequeathed a legacy of £1000 in his will dated 1891 for the churchwardens, in which he specifies they must be persons of over 63 years of age. Brass reading stand in the pulpit - Rev. W.D. Hathaway vicar to 1898. Cyril Richard Taylor of Saltley College 1909/10 son of the schoolmaster of Kingstone d1911 at Swansea aged 23. Lectern presented by William Bathew of Wainfield Hall 1911. Seven names recorded on the WW1 roll of honour. The electric lighting - George & Elizabeth Johnson. Alfred John Bettson d1977. Two tablets from the old church now fixed to S wall E end - i) Sarah 1st wife of James Bakewell daughter of W.M. Smith of Wildpark, Derbys. died of Adecline March 11 1801 leaving a young family. ii) Elizabeth 2nd wife of James Bakewell daughter of W.M. Towers Miners of Knipersley she died a few months after marriage in the prime of her life of apoplexy Oct. 27 1802. IN THE CHURCHYARD. By the old font two C17 chest tombs, one is to William Sherratt. NOTE. By the porch a life-sized sheep someone has made out of a chain, very rusty.
