A plaque to commemorate on Saturday April 6 1897 a Silent Peal of Surprise Minor rung in 2 hours 56 minutes being 720 each of London, Chester, Cambridge, Superlative, York, Worcester & Bristol. This was the first Peal of Silent Minor ever rung in Great Britain. Lieut. of the 3rd Batt. of Welch Regt., George Owen Birch killed Aisne Sept 14 1914. WW1 roll of honour. Rev. FURNISHINGS. There were paintings on the E wall of a chapel; part of the Medieval church, it got in the way of Victorian rebuilding, and the paintings, which were of Sir Hugh de Byshbury & his wife Amice, done in the fresco-secco method, were not saved. Ten Commandments murals on either side of E window, also mural decoration all over the walls of the chancel & inscriptions - extracts from Exodus. In belfry some various notices on paper, framed & paintings, maps of the parish. Colour print of portrait of Miss Theodosia Hinks (1792 - 1874) daughter of Rev Josiah Hinckes of Tettenhall Wood, she was the principal contributor to cost of rebuilding the church.
