Friends of The Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Archive Service

Aims of The Friends


Support the work of the Archive Service at all its service points.
Help to develop and promote the education of the public through the use of archives.
Organise an annual programme of educational and social events.
Work with the Archive Service as volunteers.
Help to raise the public profile of the Service.
Help to raise money to support specific projects aimed at improving access to Archive Service collections.

“A Feast of archives: the Lunar Men and Bewick” by Jenny Uglow

FRIDAY 15 JUNE 2007 6.30-8.30pm
Visit to Tutbury Church followed by light refreshments and talk at Tutbury Community
Centre - ‘Tutbury and its medieval lords’ by Nigel Tringham
Tickets £5.00 for Friends and £6.50 for non-members

FRIDAY 20 JULY 7pm-9pm
60 Years of the Archive Service
Visit to Freeford Manor, Lichfield, and talk by Pam Sambrook on ‘The Freeford Wages
Book’
Tickets £3.50 for Friends and £5.00 for non-members

SATURDAY 15 SEPTEMBER 2007 11am to 1pm
Hanley Museum, Stoke-on-Trent
The Enoch Wood Collection in the Potteries Museum:
Documents, maps, scrapbooks and pottery
